Happy New Year & Farewell

Family and friends, as the New Year often brings time of reflection and adjustments...we realize we have not utilized this blog for over a year. We can list the reasons for that...but just like that awesome sweater in the closet that for whatever reason hasn't been worn...it's time to say goodbye to it.

2025 brought joy and sorrow. We have deepened relationships in our Edgewater neighborhood of Salem, Oregon and continued gathering to seek Jesus on Sunday evenings with them and others. We experiment with new ways to engage our community, bring healing and shine the light of Jesus. Our souls rejoice that our son and daughter have drawn closer to God and our family this past year. Each week, we have provided care for previous foster placements though we have not been called for a new placement in nearly 2 years. 2025 brought the deaths of both Drew & Millyellen's dads as well as Millyellen's aunt. Through the readings & promptings of a weekly intensive called SoulCare at Salem Alliance Church this autumn, we have worked through some identity, grief and processing of our lives. Thankful for SoulCare!
