Reset spiritually

How can we stand in Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon and drive through the landscape of Utah and feel empty or wanting? Through the Bridger Teton National Forest viewing the Grand Tetons from afar, I realize the blah feeling.

In our vehicle, trying to lighten the mood before the 4 of us resort to violence on one another, we remembered the downloaded Trinity honoring worship on our Spotify account. When it resounded in our vehicle, oppression lifted. Day 14....I (Millyellen) hadn’t opened my Bible since day 3. Only giving the Lord thanks for that view, that river, that lake, those rocks seems as passing lip service because we haven’t stopped to DWELL with our Creator. We’ve been constantly on the move and almost worshipped the creation more than the Creator with all our “oohs and aaahs”. A gentle conviction swept over me while the oppression lifted off us singing our praises along with the music. Gentle crying from the husband /papa as refreshment soaked in. Reset.

We are thankful that the next two nights in Teton National Park means no camp setup and teardown. Looking ahead to Oregon, we recognize no matter our living situation or schedule, daily time to dwell with God is a necessary rhythm.
